Hi, I’m Kiran de Kruijter.

I am a Cybersecurity professional specializing in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). I bridge the gap between complex technical security, business risks, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
Recently, I wrapped up a 13-week internship at the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB), working directly under the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCCA). During my time there, I tackled two major initiatives:
- CyFun Policy Templates: Revising and translating the CCB’s CyFun 2025 framework requirements into actionable, practical policy templates for organizations.
- Project Sol: Developing a Proof-of-Concept AI agent designed to streamline compliance by providing instant, accurate answers regarding the complex NIS2 directive.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Howest Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, where I balanced my studies with community building as the Community Manager for Howest Campus Stack and volunteering at BruCON.
Whether it’s dissecting international compliance standards or leveraging new technologies to optimize security workflows, I thrive on making cybersecurity manageable, measurable, and strategically aligned.
